Hello! I'm Sydney "Syd" Horan. I am a disease ecologist who has worked in a few systems, from newts to nestling birds. My overall interest is the influence of environmental change and human influence on host-parasite (and host-pathogen) systems. I employ a mixture of field studies and laboratory work to answer these questions. I am currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Connecticut. When I'm not at the lab, you can find me birding, drawing, playing video games, knitting, and listening to music.
